I've caught a virus - a bit of bad luck really, but it was kind of inevitable, considering there is something going around and everyone seems to be getting sick.
By a stroke of good luck I already had an appointment booked with my doctor the day I felt it coming on, so at least we got it early. It has been lingering a bit, but my doctor did say it might hang around for two weeks or so.
I'll just have to wait it out. I went away on the weekend to visit my boyfriend's relatives, and I think the trip may have exacerbated my situation, but I'm hoping a few days rest will sort it out. The doc has given me some herbal pills that should boost my immune system, and he's upped my vitamin C and vitamin D. All that should help.

I'm 25, female, I live in Melbourne (Australia), and I may have just recovered from chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).
What is this blog about?
This blog used to paint a picture of life for someone with chronic fatigue syndrome.
My hope was that this blog would help people (including myself) understand the condition better.
As of 2010, I may have recovered from CFS. I will continue to post occassionally. I hope people with CFS will see it as a glimmer of hope.

Why is this blog called "CFS Uncensored"?
I came up with the title "CFS Uncensored" because I feel like most CFS sufferers censor what they tell their friends and loved ones.
Sometimes I censor what I'd like to say because my brain isn't functioning properly, so I can't get the words out. Other times it's to protect friends and loved ones from feeling too bad for me.
The thing is, this doesn't help people really understand the condition. And I believe understanding the condition is half the battle for everyone involved.
